Earth Week events

EGOR, the Environmental Group of Ripon is sponsoring a number of events to celebrate Earth Week this month. Seniors will be able to sign a banner and graduation pledge during lunch near Grab n' Go, Thursday and Friday, April 18-19. On Earth Day, Monday, April 22, Dr. Brad Barham from UW-Madison will be discussing Biodiversity Conservation in Tropical Rainforests in East Hall Little Theater from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Barham's speech is co-sponsored by the economics department with additional funding from the James S. Kemper Foundation. Earlier this month, EGOR sponsored an Earth Day poster contest for area elementry school children. The posters will be displayed in the Pickard Commons next week.
