5 Years ago this month: Adam Werbach, president of the Sierra Club, is the keynote speaker at EGOR's annual Earth Day celebration.





10 Years ago this month: Kolleen Rathburn, a junior from Onieda, Wis., is appointed by Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson to be the student representative on the Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board. WRPN hosts a 31-hour Radio-thon. Debate team sweeps state tournament.





25 Years ago this month: College considers charging students $24 to stay in the residence halls during fall and/or spring break. Robert Ashley was appointed acting Dean of Faculty. Readers Theatre of Ripon College presents its Spring Production "The World of Carl Sandburg."





40 Years ago this month: Northup receives a Newbury Grant to continue research on poet Edmund Spencer. The Academic Affairs Committee ponders the deletion of ROTC and Physical Education grades from student transcripts. The Student Senate votes to urge fraternities to change their charters to reflect a non-discriminatory clause.
