After four long years of classes covering everything from auditioning to designing costumes and makeup, the Ripon College senior theatre majors face their most daunting task yet, directing.
"It's a good culmination of all the different elements of theatre we have covered," says senior Chelsey Patti. "It's basically the only thing left to do in the department," adds senior Amber Kind-Keppel.
"It's always been the capstone for the department," says Theatre Professor Ken Hill, who teaches the course.
"We're responsible for everything with our play, from lighting to sound to acting to costumes," says senior Stephanie Hasz. "This is why it's such a good capstone for a liberal arts school. It encompasses everything."
A total of eight short plays will be performed with four performed each night from April 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a matinee performance Saturday at 1 p.m. All performances will be in the Benstead Theatre of the C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts.
