The new executive board, consisting of President Chris Reed-Waddell, Vice President Liz Leach, Treasurer Matthew Bush and Secretary Jeanna Sperber, took over with a full agenda last week.

After several revisions, the Student Education Association constitution was revised. The revisions will set up rules for SEA to give certificates to members after they have attended group events. Group leaders say it could help students get jobs in the teaching field.

The Cinema Committee of SMAC requested a one-fund of $500 for movie rights to "Meet the Fockers," that will play at Springfest. The request passed.

College Days submitted a one-fund of $1,200 to cover the final editions of the paper for the year. The one-fund passed, despite objections from Theta Chi Fraternity representative Guy McHendry that Days coverage of the frat was unsatisfactory. As a house, Theta Chi said they could not support the one-fund.

Budgets are currently on hold at the library. Reviews begin April 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Senate Chambers of Bartlett Hall.

For the last meeting of the old executive board March 30, a Cultural Diversity Club one-fund of $520 passed to pay for Scottish dancers as entertainment at the annual International Dinner.

Ripon Right to Life requested a one-fund of $266 to travel to the annual Life Convention in Appleton. The one-fund was passed.

SMAC then presented a one-fund request to supplement depleted funds when they booked the Big Wu as the Springfest headlining band, and needed $8,558 to pay for rides and other attractions. The request was passed.

Finally, Student Activities presented a one-fund request to purchase an LCD projector for student organizations to use for various events on campus. The one-fund would cost approximately $3,000 for a Panasonic model.

LDA Senator Sal De Los Angeles suggested looking for other avenues for the purchase. He presented quotes that were about $300 cheaper. However, it was questioned whether ITS would service the projector if not bought through them.

The matter was tabled.
