Ripon College Days

The Community Service Coalition is sponsoring a benefit concert this Friday whose proceeds will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The event will feature The Response, Cambridge, Bryan Courtney and the Sugar Skulls. All of the musicians were asked to donate their time to the cause and are performing at no cost to the college.

CSC's Program Coordinator Jessica Joanis was involved in the benefit's organization. Joanis anticipates an audience of a few hundred and hopes the campus will take advantage of the event. "Any penny will help," she says. "That's what it's all about."

Earlier this year, a number of Ripon students took part in a letter writing campaign for the hospital.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Jan. 27 in the gymnasium. Suggested donation is $3 for the general audience and $2 for those who participated in the earlier letter writing campaign.
