Outgoing executive board members junior Chris Reed-Waddell, junior Liz Leach, sophomore Matt Bush and sophomore Jeanna Sperber presided over their final meeting March 29.

At the session, Senate considered a Right to Life one-fund that had been tabled at a previous meeting.

The request was for about $200 for Right to Life members to attend the Wisconsin Right to Life Convention. The request was approved by a 16-1 vote, with three abstentions.

The following week's session opened with the traditional passing of the gavel ceremony from former president Reed-Waddell to incoming Student Senate President, junior Stephanie Klomsten.

Klomsten then appointed first year Alec Augustine-Marceil as parliamentarian.

The new executive board's first meeting included a constitutional revision, approval of Student Judiciary Board nominations, a SMAC reallocation and a one-fund request.

Junior Joe Truesdale presented a student organization constitution revision, which if given second approval tonight will merge Cinemaniacs and RCTV.

Senior Andy Kitslaar, outgoing vice-president of J-Board, addressed Student Senate concerning nominations for positions on the 2006-07 J-Board.

The nominations were passed by a 16-0 vote, with two abstentions.

Next year's J-Board will consist of junior Liz Molitor as president, junior Chris Reed-Waddell as vice-president, junior Adam Krueger as examiner, sophomore John McGuire as defender, sophomore Mary Friend as secretary and junior Rob Perkins as sergeant at arms. Permanent adjudicating members will be junior Stuart Russ, sophomore Jewel Mucklin, sophomore Jeanna Sperber, first year Bryan Nell and first year Hannah Emanuel.

Following the J-Board position approvals, senators voted unanimously, with one abstention, to approve a reallocation of money in the SMAC budget.

Finally, the Senate considered a one-fund request on behalf of the Senior Class Board. The $1,775 that was approved in a 15-1 vote, with one abstention will fund buses, movie rights and a Comedy Sportz presentation.
