Mathieu Gallet: Emmanuel Macron's astonishing message after the affair rumors
Guest on the set of C à vous on Thursday 11 may 2022, Mathieu Gallet, the former president of Radio France, spoke about his supposed affair with Emmanuel Macron during the presidential campaign of 2017.
Very quickly, the rumor will be shared en masse on social networks and Brigitte Macron’s husband will be forced to deny the information during a meeting . For Mathieu Gallet, the President of the Republic acted well: “ I did not let the rumor run. I left it to Emmanuel Macron to deflate it. Me, I was only ‘an instrument, the target, it was him“.

Regarding Emmanuel Macron’s speech to put an end to rumors of his supposed romance with Mathieu Gallet, the French businessman had no only one regret. Indeed, he reproached the politician for not having warned him before doing so. “ I let it pass, he handled the matter very well. What I really blamed was that he called me the next day to tell me ‘Good, I talked about us’, which is quite funny because this ‘we’ does not exist” he humorously reported to Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine.
Finally, Mathieu Gallet explained that at the time, he knew Emmanuel Macron a little, without however seeing him. “ We are not close, we obviously met, but we are not friends ” he concluded.
